Rumor’s Comedy Club - Winnipeg Manitoba

Rumor’s Comedy Club & Restaurant has a combined staff and guest capacity of 270 people. When Covid-19 became pandemic, management was tasked to ensure the venue had the best air purification technology for their Covid risk mitigation strategy. Safe Haven Air Technologies was asked to provide a solution for their need.

The restaurant/auditorium and the kitchen spaces were assessed for both loading factors and air circulation. Restaurants have high loading factors present when dining areas are at full capacity. Care was taken to evaluate the air purification requirements for this space. RGF HALO-LED’s™ were installed in the air ducts that serve both the front lobby and the main dining room and auditorium areas.

Commercial kitchens have high volume extraction fans running to remove cooking odours while at the same time, high volume makeup air units operate to balance the air in air out ratio in these spaces. For effective coverage in the kitchen area the RGF-PKG™ air purification system was installed in the make-up air unit servicing the kitchen. The PKG air purification system was recently tested by the United States Governments Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) against the airborne SARS-CoV-2 surrogate. Ninety-three percent of the airborne virus was inactivated within 90 minutes of turning the system on.
